This 3-hour circular route leads us through the historic heart of the town before heading out into the surrounding countryside and the South Downs National Park.
Halnaker Tree Tunnel Walk to a Sussex Windmill
This two and a half-hour walk takes us through the Sussex countryside into the South Downs National Park and along a glorious tree tunnel. The route then climbs uphill to a restored windmill with panoramic views across the South Downs.
Sussex Villages and Hedgerows Walk
This one and a half-hour walk on the flat leads from one ancient Sussex village through the fields, passing hedgerows laden in autumn berries, to another equally old village and a beautiful church that is over a thousand years old. Along the way, we’ll see some lovely flint and thatched cottages and learn about local history and folklore.
